Russian strike on Dnipro kills 2, damages food warehouses

The Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration released photos showing the aftermath of the strike, which damaged educational facilities and apartment buildings in the city of Dnipro.

Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported two people killed and five injured. The fire at the warehouses has been extinguished. The regional administration, meanwhile, reported eight people injured.

A woman who suffered severe injuries died in the hospital, the regional administration said.

The attack sparked a fire. Food storage warehouses belonging to a retail chain were damaged. Rescuers are working at the site of the strike, the authorities added.

Ukraine's Air Force had earlier reported a group of jet-powered drones over Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne reported explosions in Dnipro.

Also on Sept. 2, Russian forces attacked Kyiv again. A medical facility, a high-rise residential building and the National University of Food Technologies were damaged, and fires broke out. Seven people were injured.
