Video shows aftermath of drone strikes in Moscow Oblast and Krasnodar Krai

In Pavlovsky Posad, a town east of Moscow, a drone struck an apartment building after being intercepted by Russian air defenses.

Moscow Oblast governor Andrei Vorobyov claimed that air defenses “destroyed” 56 drones over the region. Vorobyov reported damage to homes in the town of Kubinka and the Bogorodsky urban district. OSINT analysis determined that the damaged home in Kubinka sits roughly five kilometers from the Kubinka Air Base.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also claimed that air defense forces “destroyed” dozens of drones flying toward the Russian capital.

Reports surfaced online of a suspected naval drone strike targeting the port of Sochi, where smoke was seen rising from the harbor. According to independent monitoring channels, satellite imagery showed that the targeted area is a known mooring site for Russian military vessels.

The attack likely targeted Russian air defense systems or patrol boats, according to independent tracking groups.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that its air defense forces “eliminated” 416 drones overnight on September 3, though it did not specify how many aircraft managed to reach their targets.
