Ukraine destroys S-400 launcher Russia used to strike Kyiv, photo shows

“One of the two S-400 launchers that were hit, which the Russkies used in surface-to-surface mode just a few days ago to strike Kyiv, has been successfully demilitarized by Ukraine’s Defense Forces!” the post said.

Fire Point also published the photo on its page. The company later said the launcher had been struck with long-range FP-1 drones. It was located in the settlement of Poroshino in Russia’s Bryansk Oblast.

On Sept. 17, the General Staff reported that Ukraine’s Defense Forces had struck two S-400 launchers near Vygonichi in Russia’s Bryansk Oblast. Ukrainian military officials said Russian forces had launched ballistic missiles at Kyiv from that area.

On Aug. 5, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine’s Defense Forces would destroy ballistic missile launchers on Russian territory to reduce the number of strikes on Ukraine. The same day, Zelenskyy said deliveries of air-defense interceptors to Ukraine from international partners had fallen to one-third of 2025 levels.
