Russian missile kills mother and child during missile strike on Zaporizhzhia hotel

"On Sept. 2 at 23:02, a Russian missile (its type is being clarified) struck a hotel filled with people," the National Police wrote.

"A 38-year-old woman and her eight-year-old son were killed in the strike. From under the rubble, [service workers] were able to retrieve her husband and thirteen-year-old daughter. They are both in a serious condition and have been hospitalized."

Workers from the State Emergency Service reported the cessation of salvage activities at the impact site at 9:02 am, Kyiv time.

According to Zaporizhzha Oblast head Ivan Federov, the blast wave and missile fragments from the strike damaged a number of apartment buildings nearby.
