Russian drones strike gas stations in two Kyiv districts, injuring at least two

At least two people were injured in the Obolonskyi district, the Kyiv City Military Administration said in a preliminary report.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said a gas station in the Obolonskyi district was hit for a second time during the attack.

The Kyiv City Military Administration also reported a suspected drone strike on a gas station in the Dniprovskyi district, with emergency services dispatched to the scene.

Klitschko later confirmed strikes on gas stations in both the Dniprovskyi and Obolonskyi districts.

The mayor also said medics had been called to a residential building in the Dniprovskyi district following explosions in the Troieshchyna area.

Ukraine’s Air Force reported jet-powered drones over Kyiv at around 9:40 a.m., as authorities declared a red-level threat for the capital.

The attack came a day after a Russian drone struck an Ukrnafta gas station in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district on Sept. 10, sparking a fire and injuring four people.

Russia also launched another drone attack on Kyiv overnight on Sept. 11.

A fire broke out in a nine-story apartment building in the Dniprovskyi district following that attack, leaving at least seven people injured.
