18 Russian drones target Chernihiv Oblast, damaging homes and businesses

Russian forces caused widespread damage to the city, destroying several industrial enterprises and damaging residential buildings, according to a statement from the city’s mayor, Ratan Akhmedov.

He warned of possible disruptions to communications, water supply, and stormwater drainage in the city and surrounding villages.

Russia launched 18 drone strikes on Koriukivka, according to Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Administration.

A woodworking plant and a wallpaper manufacturer were hit in the attack. Emergency workers are working at the scene.

Two men were wounded by the attack: a 42-year-old who suffered burns, and an 81-year-old who was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds. Both victims are in moderate condition.

The attack also damaged a transport facility in Nizhynsky district, and a heating plant in Semenovka, Novgorod-Siversky District, regional authorities reported.

Air Force reported that Russia launched a wave of 94 strike drones - Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmaz, with 60 of them being jet-powered Shahed models. Ukrainian air defense units neutralized 74 UAVs.

Russian forces launched a mass drone attack on Odesa, damaging residential buildings, a hotel, and downtown facilities, and injuring at least 11 people, 2 of them children.
