Gunshots rang out near the Respublika shopping and entertainment center in Kyiv’s Holosiyivskyi district on May 2, after a dispute between two drivers who “couldn’t decide on the right of way,” Kyiv police reported.
One of the drivers fired several shots from a pistol.
Bystanders disarmed the shooter before police arrived, according to local Telegram channels.
No one was injured. Police are questioning both men involved in the incident.
On May 1, another shooting occurred in Kyiv’s Sviatoshynskyi district when a driver of a Volkswagen Caddy fired multiple shots on Mriyi Street. Police detained a 46-year-old suspect in a Kyiv Oblast village the same day.
