Ukraine’s top tennis player Elina Svitolina climbed from 13th to 12th place following her successful performance at the Auckland tournament. Marta Kostyuk, a finalist at the higher-tier Brisbane event, rose six positions and returned to the top 20. Her career-high ranking remains No. 16.
Dayana Yastremska stayed in 27th place after reaching the third round in Brisbane. Oleksandra Oliynykova also held her position, remaining just inside the top 90.
Yuliia Starodubtseva moved up one spot to No. 110. Daria Snihur made the biggest jump among Ukrainians, climbing 13 places to No. 136.
Anhelina Kalinina (No. 178) and Anastasia Sobolieva (No. 264) dropped slightly in the rankings. Veronika Podrez rose one position to No. 283, setting another personal career best.
The WTA ranking continues to be led by “neutral” player Aryna Sabalenka.
In the Brisbane final, her match against Kostyuk ended in a straight-sets victory for the Belarusian passport holder.
After the match, Kostyuk gave an emotional post-final comment, mentioning Ukraine. Sabalenka later addressed the 23-year-old Ukrainian tennis player as well, and congratulated her with the successful start of the season.
