The strike damaged the AVT-6 primary oil refining unit, causing a fire at the refinery.
Ukraine’s General Staff also said the results of the May 19 strike on the Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station in Semibratovo in Russia’s Yaroslavl Oblast. Preliminary data confirmed damage to four storage tanks with a combined capacity of 140,000 cubic meters. According to the General Staff, the station is involved in supporting Russia’s military-industrial infrastructure.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces also struck the following Russian targets:
command posts in Soledar in Donetsk Oblast;
command and observation posts near Lyubymivka in Kherson Oblast and Ivanivske in Donetsk Oblast;
drone control points near Piddubne and Perebudova in Donetsk Oblast, Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and Yelizavetovka in Russia’s Kursk Oblast;
concentrations of Russian personnel near Novoukrainka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and in Myrne, Snizhne and the city of Donetsk;
an ammunition depot near Marynivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and a Russian repair unit in Sievierodonetsk in Luhansk Oblast.
Drone activity was reported over the city of Kstovo in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod Oblast on the morning of May 20. It marked the second drone attack on the city in the past week, following explosions and strikes reported on May 18.
On May 19, Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed strikes on the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery and the Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station.
