Polina Putsko, a Ukrainian biathlete, won Ukraine's first medal of the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics in Gangwon, South Korea.
The athlete earned a remarkable third place in the sprint after missing just one shot over two firing ranges.

Putsko won Ukraine's second-ever biathlon medal at the Youth Olympic Games, adding to Christina Dmytrenko's gold in 2016.
Ukraine has won a total of four medals, including one gold, one silver, and two bronzes in the tournament's history.
