The bodies of two victims of a Russian missile attack on Kyiv were recovered from the rubble of an apartment building on June 26.
The victims – Yulia Petra and Danylo Kyrylenko – were killed when their apartment in Kyiv's Solomyanskyi District was hit on June 24. They were a couple.
The couple's friend, Kriz Dzuba, wrote about the couple’s death on Facebook on June 25.
"I really want to remember you the same as you were during our first encounter,” Dzuba wrote.
“You, the girl-with-bottomless-eyes, who was welcomed just yesterday to our rowdy Raroh-family, who we smeared with soot, and called our sister-in-law,” Dzuba said.
“And you, the guy-with-the-eternal-smile, with whom we sat in the kitchen with Mykhailo after my first ever reenactment festival, waiting for the train, and chatted about how much more effective and funny it is to beat people with iron. It was an honor to know you both. Eternal love to you in the afterlife.”
Russia launched another mass missile attack against Ukraine's capital in the early hours of June 24. A total of five people were killed in the attack.
