The Russians have intensified the construction of defensive structures along the coast of the temporarily occupied Crimea due to fears of a possible amphibious operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Crimean resistance movement Atesh reported on Telegram on July 6.
At the same time, the occupation authorities are convincing the population that there is no such threat.
In the resort cities of Yevpatoria and Yalta, the Russians are hiring civilian contractors to equip firing and defensive positions that "look very cartoonish."
In addition, rumors are circulating among Russian soldiers that Ukraine is forming a "striking fist" to break through to Crimea and disrupt the land corridor in neighboring Kherson Oblast in the fall.
