Death toll from Russian attack on Dnipro rises to 18, city declares day of mourning
The number of people killed in the Russian missile attack on Dnipro on June 24, has risen to 18, with nearly 300 others injured, regional governor Serhii Lysak reported on June 25.
June 25 has been declared a day of mourning in the city to honor the victims of the Russian strike.
Lysak also reported that overnight and in the morning, Russia attacked Nikopol with FPV drones. No deaths or injuries were reported.
In addition, the enemy struck the Novopavlivka community in the Synelnykove district with guided aerial bombs.
On June 24, Russia launched missile attacks on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, targeting the cities of Samar and Dnipro, with Dnipro suffering the most devastating destruction in three years of full-scale war. The overall death toll across Oblast stands at 19.
It was reported earlier that 186 people were injured in Dnipro, including 23 children. A fire broke out in the city, and several civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.
Additionally, the Odesa–Zaporizhzhya train was damaged in the attack near Dnipro, 10 passengers were injured.
