EU announces another EUR 1.5 billion of aid to Ukraine
The European Union is allocating EUR 1.5 billion ($1.65 billion) to Ukraine as part of its annual financial assistance package, European Commission head, Ursula von der Leyen, announced on Twitter on April 25.
"Today we are providing another EUR 1.5 billion to Ukraine under our annual macro-financial assistance package," the EC president wrote.
“We will continue helping Ukraine resist Russia’s aggression, keep its institutions and infrastructure running, and conduct crucial reforms.”
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said that Kyiv’s international partners will provide $115 billion in long-term support.
