Five children from Kherson and Donetsk returned to Ukraine

Four children from Kherson and one boy from Donetsk have returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory, Kherson Oblast Military Administration head, Oleksandr Prokudin reported.
The children have been returned to their parents. The families are currently receiving medical and psychological treatment in Kyiv.
The children’s return is the result of the systematic efforts of the charitable organization Save Ukraine in collaboration with the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament – ed.) of Ukraine, guardianship authorities, and child protection services.
156 children from Kherson have been successfully brought back to Ukrainian-controlled territories in 2023.
Two Ukrainian children were successfully repatriated as part of the implementation of the president's approved plan, "Bring Kids Back UA" on Nov. 10.
At least 19,546 children have been deported or forcibly displaced by Russia, the Ukrainian state platform Children of War reports. That number could be as high as 300,000, the European Parliament believes. Russia began removing Ukrainian children in 2014, when it occupied Crimea and parts of Donetsk and Luhansks regions.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
