Russian forces occupy Andriyivka, Kostiantynopil in Donetsk Oblast
Russian forces have occupied the villages of Andriyivka and Kostiantynopil in Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast, according to a June 25 report by the monitoring project DeepState.
Russian advances were also noted near Oleksiyivka, Dniproenerhiya, and Shevchenko in the same region.
DeepState earlier reported that Russian forces had captured the village of Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast and made progress near seven other settlements.
A June 23 report from the U.S.-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW) stated that Russian invasion forces have pursued long-standing operational goals in their war against Ukraine throughout spring and June 2025, with no likely change in the coming months.
Analysts noted intense combat along much of the frontline in Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhya oblasts, with Russian troops prioritizing offensive operations in Donetsk Oblast.
On June 25, the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Troop Grouping reported that Russia is intensifying its offensive on the Pokrovsk front, where heavy fighting continues as Ukrainian Defense Forces work to hold back the enemy.
