FM Kuleba about meeting with his colleague Péter Szijjártó — Ukrainian side managed to "get the most possible"

The meeting between Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and his Hungarian counterpart Péter Szijjártó was "very timely and useful," Kuleba said in an interview for Ukrainian outlet Ukrinform on Jan. 30.
He also pointed out that the Hungarian FM recognized Ukrainian territorial integrity.
Szijjártó according to Kuleba, "did not say anything bad” and the meeting discussed "concerns about each other's intentions".
"We explained everything to each other,” Kuleba said.
“The Hungarians have distrust of us and we have distrust of them, due to various circumstances,” said Kuleba.
“It is understandable. And the fact that we were able to talk through everything, I think, is very important."
Kuleba added that three topics were discussed during the meetings, namely the rights of the Hungarian minority, negotiations with Russia, and a possible meeting between Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Szijjártó talks with Kuleba and Yermak lasted more than six hours.
On Dec. 11, Kuleba met with Szijjártó in Brussels for the first time since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. The main topic of the talks was the European Union's decision to start negotiations with Ukraine on EU accession.
Szijjártó and his team arrived in Uzhhorod on Jan. 29. The head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, and FM Kuleba met Szijjártó and his team.
