Occupiers block children without Russian passports from attending school in occupied areas

It’s supposed to be back to school for Ukrainian children today (Sept. 1), but for Ukrainian students in occupied territories that have refused a Russian passport, that’s simply not the case, reported the National Resistance Center (NRC) on Sep. 1.
"The occupiers are intensifying repression against the population in the temporarily occupied territories who have refused to take Russian passports. This is being observed in a number of different areas," the NRC said.
“Schools in Kherson Oblast are being forced to compile lists of students who do not have Russian passports and give them 10 days to correct the situation. If they still refuse to take the passport, they will be stopped from attending school.”
Previously, Russian occupiers and their collaborators only provided school supplies to children whose parents had taken Russian passports.
Russia plans to further integrate educational institutions in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine into the Russian education system.
Russia and its collaborators plan to "accredit" about 1,300 educational institutions by the end of 2023, which will then issue Russian-style school certificates to graduates.
