Partisans claimed they carried out a sabotage operation
in the Russian city of Taganrog that damaged a power substation supplying
electricity to the Atlant-Aero defense business, the Atesh movement reported on June 20.
The movement said the plant is involved in the full
production cycle of Molniya strike and reconnaissance drones, the manufacture
of components for heavy Orion unmanned systems and the development of control
systems for FPV drones.
Atesh said the damaged substation disrupted the plant’s
production lines. The movement said power outages left the plant unable to
continue assembling unmanned systems or producing electronics for new batches
of drones used by Russian forces.
The movement also said the power disruption caused an
emergency shutdown of production processes. It said the outage disrupted the
current assembly and testing cycle and temporarily blocked operations in the
plant’s key workshops.
The partisans said such actions are aimed at weakening
Russia’s technological capabilities and its military-industrial complex.
Overnight on May 30, an attack on Taganrog was reported, with explosions and
fires near the port. Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces attacked a military
airfield in Taganrog that night and destroyed a Russian Iskander missile system
and two Tu-142 aircraft.
