Trump victory can lead to Putin taking Kyiv, Kamala Harris warns
Should Donald Trump win the 2024 election, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin could be sitting in Kyiv, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, running for president, said when speaking at her campaign event in Michigan, CNN reported on Oct. 22.
Harris referenced Trump's repeated promises to end Russia’s war against Ukraine in just one day, and criticized him for wanting to force Ukraine to abandon its fight for sovereignty.
"If Donald Trump becomes president, Vladimir Putin will be sitting in Kyiv," she said.
"Think about what that means for America and our standing in the world.”
Trump’s stance on Russia’s war against Ukraine
Trump has often claimed he could quickly stop the war, saying he knows both Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy well enough to "solve the problem quickly."
He has suggested allowing Russia to take part of Ukraine and criticized the U.S. for supplying too many weapons to Kyiv.
Earlier this year, Trump suggested he would have bombed Moscow if Russia had invaded Ukraine during his presidency.
However, during debates, Trump avoided answering whether he wants Ukraine to win the war, instead stating that he just wants the war to end.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
