Should Ukraine retaliate after Russian drone nearly hits Zelenskyy’s plane? – Radio NV poll

Radio NV asked its audience whether Ukraine should retaliate after a Russian drone nearly struck President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s plane in Moldova.
The poll, which surveyed 921 people, offered three possible responses to the question: "A Russian drone nearly hit Zelenskyy's plane. Should this be considered grounds for retaliation?"
50.3% said they would wait for more details about the incident.
Meanwhile, 45.6% said they were definitely expecting a response. Respondents said Valdai, where Vladimir Putin has a residence, should also become a target.
Another 4.1% said Ukraine should not retaliate over the incident because U.S. President Donald Trump would accuse it of escalation.
On Sept. 8, Zelenskyy and his wife traveled to Norway to attend the funeral of King Harald and hold talks with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. Støre later said a drone nearly struck the Ukrainian president's plane as it took off from Moldova.
Moldova's ambassador to the United States, Vladislav Kulminski, suggested that the Russian drone may have deliberately entered Moldovan airspace while Zelenskyy's plane was at Chisinau airport. However, he stressed that it was too early to say whether the Ukrainian president had been deliberately targeted.
Sources in the Ukrainian President's Office told Suspilne that Zelenskyy's plane and the Russian drone were not in the air at the same time. Ukraine had tracked the drone's flight and waited until the UAV disappeared from radar, the sources said.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
