Protests near Kyiv's Central Railway Station cause train delays, traffic jams
Kyiv's central railway station was blocked by protests on the morning of June 28, Ukrainian Railways (UZ) reported on Telegram.
"The road to the central station in Kyiv is partially blocked due to the actions of protesters,” UZ wrote.
“We consider it unacceptable that military personnel, medics, volunteers, and families with children do not get on their trains, so we are delaying the departures for 10 minutes."
Ukrainian Railways urged passengers and visitors heading to Kyiv Central Railway Station to take this information into account.
Kyiv residents are advised to temporarily drive to the South Station.
The protest concerns not the company itself or its activities, nor the Kyiv-Passenger railway station, the company noted.
Videos of protesters blocking cars and causing traffic jams in front of Station Square have appeared on Telegram.
The protest could be tied to the wholesale market demolition near the railway station, social media posters speculated.
Trolleybuses No. 12 and 14, and buses No. 7, 24, 50, and 114 on the railway station roundabout are delayed due to the protests.
