Reserve+ app launches: Ukrainians encounter early hurdles in updating military data
Reserve+ mobile app went live on May 18, allowing citizens to update their military registration data, with NV collecting early feedback and the first problems users encountered during the update process.
The app successfully authenticated 150,000 users within 10 hours of its launch.
Reserve+ is a mobile application designed by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry to enable individuals of conscription age (18-60 years old) to update data for Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRC).
Users attempting to update their data on Reserve+ generally found the process straightforward: download the app, authenticate through their bank, input the required information, and await the retrieval of account details from the Oberih digital register, a task taking roughly 20 to 30 minutes.
Upon successful completion, the app notifies the user accordingly.
However, some users encountered authentication issues and received a message stating: "Something strange happened."
The application is fortified against DDoS (Denial-of-service) attacks and Russian hacking attempts, which could potentially disrupt the authentication function for some users, the Defense Ministry said.
Ukrainians have already unleashed a wave of memes about the new app.
