Dozens of Russian soldiers surrendered to Ukrainian National Guard

In a significant military success, dozens of Russian soldiers have surrendered to Ukraine's Rubizh brigade of the National Guard, the Interior Ministry reported on June 29.
"Most of these Russian soldiers were conscripted and doomed to die, but chose life instead," the ministry stated.
Following their surrender, the Ukrainian defenders ensured that the prisoners received the necessary medical care. The Interior Ministry used this moment to contrast the behavior of the two sides involved in the conflict.
"Atrocities, murder of civilians, torture, and abuse of unarmed people is the way of Russia," the ministry asserted.
In stark contrast, the statement praised Ukrainian forces: “Ukrainian soldiers are warriors with honor and dignity, and thus they treat enemy prisoners humanely.”
