Russia is very eager to achieve serious progress in its war against Ukraine ahead of its Victory Day celebrations on May 9, the UK Ministry of Defense has said in its April 21 situation update.
The agency noted that up to this date, the Russian occupation army may try to conduct military operations “quickly and forcefully”.
Russian forces are also advancing towards Kramatorsk in Donetsk Oblast, which continues to be under constant rocket fire.
Russian aviation remains highly active, as Moscow seeks to suppress and destroy Ukrainian air defense facilities in order to support its offensive in eastern Ukraine.
