Russian soldiers murder child in front of family in occupied Kherson Oblast

Russian soldiers in occupied Kherson Oblast murdered a child right in front of his family, Kherson regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin said in an interview to Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne on Dec. 22.
“I received a message from the community on the left bank [of the Dnipro River] that Russian occupiers had killed an eighth-grade student in one of the settlements,” said Prokudin.
“This happened on Dec. 20. They did it right in front of the family. The mother almost lost her mind; she was saved from [from suicide]. It's a terrible situation…”
The child was accused of taking photos of of Russian military objects, arrested, brought home, and executed.
Prokudin stated that there is a report from the school's principal to the police about the incident.
“We will appeal to the human rights commissioner and all relevant authorities to document this fact,” said Prokudin.
Ukrainian law enforcement authorities have opened a criminal investigation into the murder.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
