The Russian military lacks mechanics to repair damaged or outdated military equipment, the Defense Ministry’s National Resistance Center’s press service reported on June 14.
Russian occupation forces are losing a significant amount of military equipment during Ukraine’s counteroffensive, NRC stressed.
“The invaders are preparing to replenish their losses by decommissioning old weapons," the statement said. “The Russians also lack mechanics who can repair damaged or outdated vehicles.”
The Russians are forcing specialists to repair and maintain military equipment.
"In the temporarily occupied Crimea, the enemy is selecting car mechanics from local service stations," the press service added.
The National Resistance Center called on residents of temporarily occupied territories to not cooperate with occupation administrations. Those who are forced to work on military equipment under duress and threat to life and health are advised to disable it.
Ukraine's Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov has previously stated that Russia is experiencing a shortage of professional military personnel, high-tech weapons, and rounds.
