Russia attacks energy sites in Ukraine's western Ivano-Frankivsk & Khmelnytsky oblasts in mass drone attack

Explosions were heard in Ivano-Frankivsk and Khmelnytskyi oblasts as Russian troops launched a wave of Shahed kamikaze drones against Ukraine’s western oblasts overnight on April 18.
No casualties have yet been reported.
Ivano-Frankivsk was Russia's main target of the attack.
The Russians attempted to strike critical infrastructure objects with drones
during the morning attack, Svitlana Onyshchuk, Ivano-Frankivsk Governor,
reported at 8:28 a.m. EET.
"All Shahed drones have been neutralized,” she said.
“Fires started due to falling debris - fortunately, leading to no
casualties. Emergency services are on site. The situation is under control."
Several kamikaze drones were neutralized as "dozens of drones"
were spotted in Western Ukraine, Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv
said an hour earlier.
"Prykarpattia did not escape the Russian threat either.”
Martsinkiv did not report any hits or damages.
Explosions rang out in Ivano-Frankivsk at around 7 a.m.
Russia's Shahed drones were seen approaching the city from the
southeastern direction a few minutes before the attack, with Ukraine's Air Force urging citizens to
stay in shelters.
Explosions were also heard in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, Suspilne reported at
2:30 a.m.
The first Air Force reports about the attack came at about midnight, as groups of drones were spotted maneuvering over the Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, and
Cherkasy oblasts.
Enemy tactical aviation was also operating in Ukraine’s northeast.
