Ukrainian FM advocates for Zelenskyy's Peace formula in talks with Indian officials

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has arrived in New Delhi for a two-day visit, focusing on strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and India and advancing President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's peace initiative, NV reported on March 28.
“The Ukrainian-Indian cooperation is important and we will be reinvigorating ties,” Kuleba wrote on X on March 28.
“Building on the dialogue between [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelenskyy and [Indian Prime Minister] Narendra Modi, we will pay specific attention to the Peace Formula.”
Kuleba's agenda includes several key meetings, notably with his counterpart, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and other Indian officials. They will explore avenues for enhanced bilateral collaboration and address shared concerns on regional and global matters.
This trip marks Kuleba's inaugural official visit to India, a nation that has adopted a neutral stance regarding the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Kuleba has previously voiced concerns over India's engagement with Russia, particularly in energy trade, amidst international sanctions.
India maintains a neutral position on Russia's war against Ukraine. Kuleba earlier criticized the country for ignoring Western sanctions against Russia and intensifying energy trade with the aggressor.
Last time Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Hiroshima last year on the sidelines of the G7 summit. At the time, Modi expressed India's "clear support for dialogue and diplomacy."
Kuleba's discussions in India will also cover the alleged deception of Indian nationals by Russian recruitment entities, leading them to conflict zones, and the participation of some overseas Indians who have joined Ukraine's cause.
