SBU detains traitor who helped Russians evade Ukrainian air defenses in Dnipro

A collaborator who scouted the locations of Ukrainian radar and air defense systems and tracked the routes of fuel tankers heading toward the front line has been detained in Dnipro, the country’s SBU security service reported on Telegram on Mar. 3.
According to the SBU, the enemy used this information to "evade" Ukrainian air defenses during its airstrikes on the city.
The suspect was “noticed” and recruited by a Russian intelligence officer from the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces in December 2023, after his anti-Ukrainian posts on pro-Kremlin Telegram channels.
The SBU investigators have charged the traitor with high treason under martial law, which provides for life imprisonment.
On Feb. 19, the SBU reported that a court found a collaborator guilty of directing enemy fire at residential buildings in Kramatorsk last year.
In an earlier operation, the SBU detained a design engineer from the Ukrainian strategic defense industry Ukroboronprom in Mykolaiv who was planning to transfer secret military shipbuilding information to Russian and Iranian intelligence services.
