Three dead, 13 injured in Russian missile strike on popular Ukrainian tourism city of Odesa

At least three civilians were killed and another 13 injured after invading Russian forces launched a missile strike at the city of Odesa overnight on June 14, the Operational Command South reported on Facebook.
The invaders launched four Kalibr cruise missiles at Odesa from a ship stationed in the Black Sea, two of which were intercepted by Ukraine’s air defense forces.
One missile managed to hit a retail chain warehouse, killing three people, and injuring several more. A 400 square meter fire caused significant damage to the building.
Rescue teams are clearing the debris in search of other people, the Ukrainian military said.
Several other residential and commercial buildings, as well as tourist establishments in the city center were also damaged in the attack.
One of Ukraine’s largest cities, Odesa was among the most popular pre-war vacation destinations.
“We’ll be able to find out where (the Russians) targeted only when we catch those who targeted and ask them,” South Operational Command spokesperson Natalia Humeniuk told Radio Liberty.
“But the point stands: many buildings were damaged as a result of the air battle over the city center, including a business center, an educational institution, a catering establishment, shops, a residential high-rise building, probably more than one, and nearby administrative buildings.”
