Russian strikes on Kyiv Oblast kill two, injure seven including children

Russian forces killed two civilians and injured seven others, including two children, during strikes across Kyiv Oblast, regional governor Tymur Tkachenko reported on Sept. 9.
Russian troops pounded Kyiv Oblast for the third consecutive day, with Tkachenko confirming casualties and structural destruction recorded across five administrative districts:
Bucha district: Two people were killed and four injured, including a child. Eight private houses, industrial and storage units, and three motor vehicles were damaged.
AdBoryspil district: A private residence and two vehicles were damaged; one child sustained injuries.
Brovary district: Two individuals were injured, and a utility outbuilding sustained damage.
Bila Tserkva district: An apartment high-rise and a manufacturing facility were damaged.
Obukhiv district: Private residences, an apartment high-rise, an administrative complex, a manufacturing plant, and seven vehicles sustained damage.
31 civilian sites across the oblast were damaged in total, including 11 private houses, two apartment high-rises, five industrial and warehouse buildings, an administrative center, an outbuilding, and 12 vehicles, Tkachenko confirmed.
Overnight into Sept. 9, Russian forces launched swarms of attack drones against Ukraine, targeting the capital and its surrounding oblast, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Mykolaiv, with daytime drone attacks remaining ongoing.
On Sept. 8, strikes ignited an industrial fire with thick toxic smoke in Bila Tserkva, while attacks in Boryspil killed two civilians and injured three others, including a two-year-old girl who suffered shrapnel injuries to her eye.

Kyiv Oblast Military Administration earlier noted that beginning the evening of Sept. 7, Russian forces initiated heavy barrages using jet-powered UAVs, ballistic munitions, and cruise missiles across Brovary, Boryspil, Fastiv, Obukhiv, and Bila Tserkva districts.
Overnight into Sept. 8, Russian forces fired ballistic missiles into Kyiv, causing extensive destruction across at least five municipal districts. Debris and fires were reported in Solomyanskyi, Darnytskyi, Holosiivskyi, Dniprovskyi, and Podilskyi districts.
SES emergency crews rescued civilians trapped inside damaged high-rise apartments and extinguished fires across garages, a business center, and storage depots. The assault killed at least five civilians.
National Police figures confirmed damage to more than 20 residential homes, 40 vehicles, a school, a retail shop, a dormitory, a medical clinic, administrative and warehouse facilities, a gas station, and a television station headquarters.
Russian forces deployed Oniks missiles, Iskander and KN-23 ballistic missiles, S-400 anti-air missiles in surface-attack mode, Kh-101 cruise missiles, and 166 drones of various types in total. Missiles and drones hit 29 locations, with falling intercepted wreckage causing damage at nine additional sites nationwide.
