VAKS seizes Vyshinsky’s assets for state revenue
The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has granted the Justice Ministry’s claim to seize over 10 million hryvnias (270,000 dollars) from Russian propagandist Kirill Vyshinsky for the state budget, the ministry’s press service reported on June 11.
By a previous ruling from the Supreme Court of Justice of the Russian Federation on February 24, 2025, Vyshinsky was sanctioned with the confiscation of his assets to the state. These assets included two real estate properties (in Kyiv and Crimea), two cars, a 100% stake in the authorized capital of the Interselect company, and a 100% stake in the Novostkom Expert company.
Vyshinsky is known for spreading pro-Russian propaganda and supporting the Russian Federation's aggression against Ukraine.
According to the Chesno movement, Vyshinsky has headed the RIA Novosti Ukraine news agency since 2014. That same year, he was awarded the state honor "For the Return of Crimea" and the Order "For Services to the Fatherland" by Russian authorities and later received a Russian passport.
In 2018, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) placed Vyshinsky under suspicion of encroaching on Ukraine's territorial integrity and committing high treason.
In 2019, Vyshinsky was transferred to Russia as part of the “35 for 35” prisoner exchange.
In 2022, Vyshinsky supported Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, describing the goal as "demilitarization and denazification" because, according to him, Ukrainians had "lost the ability to think rationally."
In 2023, Vyshinsky was placed under sanctions by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. That same year, he spoke at a UN Security Council meeting, where he accused Ukraine of "Russophobia" and "oppressing the rights of Russian-speaking citizens."
