Ukrainian forces strike Russian weapons warehouse near Kursk

Ukrainian Defense Forces hit a warehouse storing weapons and military equipment near Kursk, Russia, overnight on July 31, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Telegram.
The military noted that Russian air defense systems were activated and explosions were recorded at the targeted points. The results of the strike are still being clarified.
The operation was conducted by Ukrainian Navy units in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, according to the General Staff.
Kursk Oblast Governor Alexei Smirnov reported early on July 31 that the region was attacked by UAVs, resulting in a fire at one of the facilities.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that 11 drones were intercepted over Russian territory overnight, including one in Kursk Oblast. They also reported the alleged downing of a Neptune-MD missile in the region.
