Ukrainian military destroys Russian self-propelled mortar near Bakhmut – video
Aerial reconnaissance of the 3rd separate assault brigade, in cooperation with the Adam tactical group, found and destroyed a Russian Tyulpan 240-mm self-propelled mortar near the town of Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast, using a HIMARS multiple rocket launcher, the brigade reported on Telegram on July 17, citing video.
Such enemy weapons are designed to destroy the most fortified positions, shelters, command posts, and other artillery emplacements, the unit said.
“Now one of the samples has been irreversibly destroyed,” the report says.
“Let’s keep working!”
The released footage shows pillars of smoke rising and a fire after the strike.
Some 620 Russian invaders were eliminated in Ukraine over the past day. In total, Russian losses have exceeded 238,000 military personnel since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
