White House prepares new aid package for Ukraine and responds to Kremlin's ‘fatigue’ claims

The United States will soon announce a new
round of military aid to Ukraine to further demonstrate its sustained
support for the Ukrainian people, White House Press Secretary Karine
Jean-Pierre said at a press briefing on Oct. 2.
She also refuted Russia’s claims of U.S. "fatigue" from supporting Ukraine. Jean-Pierre stressed that U.S. President Joe Biden "has created a coalition of over 50 countries" to aid Ukraine and rallied more than 140 nations to condemn the Russian invasion.
"Ukraine has the support of a strong, very strong, international coalition; if [Russian dictator Vladimir] Putin thinks he can outlast us, he is mistaken," she said.
The Kremlin’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov recently alleged that the "fatigue" from financially supporting Ukraine "will grow in various countries, including the United States," according to the BBC.
On Sept. 22, during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to Washington, Biden announced the 47th security assistance package for Kyiv, worth $325 million. It included the transfer of M1 Abrams tanks, cluster artillery munitions, air defense systems, and anti-tanks weapons.
On Sept. 30, the U.S. House of Representatives approved a stopgap bill for temporary government funding to avoid a shutdown, from which House Speaker Kevin McCarthy removed $6 billion in support for Ukraine, stating that the issue will be considered separately.
Biden responded by stating that Congress “under no circumstances” can allow U.S. support for Ukraine to cease.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
