Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
held a phone conversation with President of the World
Bank Group, Ajay Banga, discussing further cooperation, Zelenskyy said
in a Telegram post on June 19.
"We discussed further development of cooperation, particularly in mobilizing international support," said Zelenskyy.
The president thanked the World Bank for its quick response to Russia blowing up the Kakhovka HPP dam, and for their cooperation in assessing the damage caused by the tragedy. He also invited the World Bank to reopen its Ukraine office.
"We are interested in cooperation during Ukraine's post-war transformation, including addressing corruption and reducing the share of cash in the Ukrainian economy," Zelenskyy added.
In March, the World Bank revised its estimate of Ukraine's needs for post-war reconstruction to $411 billion.
