Russian losses exceed 999,000 amid relentless warfare
Russia has lost approximately 999,200 soldiers, either killed or wounded, since the war outbreak, AFU General Staff wrote on June 11.
In just the past 24 hours, Russia lost an estimated 1,120 troops.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces report the following Russian equipment losses:

Russian losses in Ukraine
On May 26, Chief of the Foreign Intelligence Service Oleh Ivashchenko estimated that Russia had lost nearly 1 million soldiers killed or wounded since the full-scale invasion began.
On June 3, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that 200,000 Russian soldiers had been lost just since the beginning of 2025.
A study by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) estimates total Russian casualties at over 1 million, with around 250,000 confirmed dead.
On June 7, Mediazona, in collaboration with the BBC’s Russian Service, reported the verified identities of 111,387 Russian troops killed in the war.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
