Daria Bilodid leaves Paris Olympics in 1/8 finals
Ukrainian judo star Daria Bilodid's 2024 Olympic Games in Paris ended in the round of 16, where she lost to Japan's Funakabo. Bilodid earned three shidos (warnings) and was disqualified on July 29.
Immediately after the fight, Bilodid burst into tears.
Bilodid is a bronze medalist from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian judoka Bohdan Yadov also burst into tears after leaving the 2024 Olympics.
Additionally, a Eurosport commentator was suspended from working at the 2024 Olympics due to comments about the Australian women's national team.
