Russian brigade’s casualties double its strength — video
A Russian motorized rifle platoon commander claimed that his
brigade’s losses are double its total number, Ukrainian journalist Yuriy
Butusov reported on Telegram on July 21.
The video reveals the Russian lieutenant admitting that
Ukrainian forces have killed or wounded about 12,000 of his comrades, although
this information is being concealed by the command.
“The official strength of a Russian brigade is up to 6,000
personnel,” Butusov said.
“Therefore, the reported losses amount to 200% of the brigade’s strength. Given that nearly all these losses are among the infantry units, which constitute about 50% of the brigade, it is evident that the infantry has been replaced four times over. The Russian army sustains its combat capability solely through continuous reinforcements. The video suggests that the Russian officer may have some disturbing premonitions about the situation.”
