Donetsk Oblast fighting intensifies as Russian troops advance in Chasiv Yar

Russian troops push forward in the Ukrainian city of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk Oblast, the DeepState monitoring group reported early on Nov. 18.
According to the updated maps of the frontline, the enemy advanced near the city of Kurakhove and in the nearby villages of Berestky, Dalne, and Voznesenka.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces also confirmed intense fighting in the Kurakhove sector and reported Russian attempts to take positions near Nova Illinka, Berestki, Voznesenka, Sontsovka, Zorya, Maksymilianivka, Dalne, and Antonivka. The situation is difficult but under control of the defense forces, the statement said.
Earlier, nn Nov. 14, the Ukrainian military denied reports that Russian forces had entered the town of Kupyansk in Kharkiv Oblast and had captured the town of Illinka in Donetsk Oblast.
